Got this done just in time... "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

With the weather here in Northern Idaho, and specifically, the temperature to change drastically starting tomorrow - well - I got this done just in time...

I moved here and purchased the property about 2 years ago from a Californian refugee that built the house. It's a nice, solid little house but he failed to install a wood stove even though the property is covered in Lodge Pole pines that have to come down to protect the other trees (blue spruce, white/red fir and etc.) and,...

Hurricane tornado disaster resist door. "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

I searched around with no luck locally which is to be expected and searched regionally also nothing.
The price is king of high, typically 1,000 to 3,000 and up so basically 10x the cost of a regular door.
Then I found a bank vault door frame almost in my own back yard. It weighs 360lb and I got it for $35. It's so heavy because it's filled with concrete.
The place I got it from says they don't think they have the vault door that goes with it but that they will look for it.
If they have the...

California Woman Busted With Illegal Gun: A Stock-less 10/22 "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

California woman Leticia Sept was taken into custody after officers on patrol encountered her near a recreational vehicle that was parked illegally and found her with the firearm.  The illegal gun was a stockless Ruger 10/22, and thanks to gun laws, shes in a lot of trouble with the government.

Police in Fresno arrested the woman Monday after they found her in possession of a .22LR rifle that came up a little short on their tape measure. Her trouble wasnt with the fact the rifle had no stock, although it didnt slip past the more gun savvy out there. California law requires rifles to be at least 26 inches long, and this particular rifle was only 24 inches in length. But the federal government has regulations on SBRs too.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives considers a weapon made from a rifle if such weapon as modified has an overall length of less than 26 inches or a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length, to be regulated under the NFA.

According to, an inmate search at the facility shows Sept is still in custody as of Tuesday morning. Her bail set at $12,000. Officers also recovered composite knuckles and an illegal narcotic from Sept, and she was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia and two weapons violations a misdemeanor for the knuckles and a felony charge on the SBR.

So much for shall not be infringed.  Although it stands to reason that the cops were looking into the possession of the narcotics, the illegal weapon just compounded the issue with the state.

Florida Farmers Say Irmas Damage Is The Worst Theyve Ever Seen "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Almost half of Floridas citrus crops were destroyed during the hurricane and when Florida farmers survey the damage caused by Hurricane Irma, and most are saying its the worst destruction to their farms that theyve ever seen.

When the worst of Irmas fury had passed, Gene McAvoy hit the road to inspect the citrus groves and vegetable fields in Florida. McAvoy is a specialist on vegetable farming at the University of Floridas extension office in the town of LaBelle. LaBelle is located in the middle of one of the countrys biggest concentrations of vegetable and citrus farms.

According to NPR, the storm made a direct hit to those fields. The eyewall came right over our main production area, McAvoy says. Irma had destroyed almost half of the citrus crops in the central Florida area, meaning prices are likely going to go up sharply.

Many of the destroyed groves of oranges and grapefruit were actually approaching harvest too.  But after Irma blew through, it left 50 or 60 percent of the fruit lying in water [or] on the ground, says McAvoy. Many trees were standing in water, a mortal danger if their roots stay submerged for longer than three or four days. About a quarter of the countrys sugar production comes from fields of sugar cane near Lake Okeechobee, just east of LaBelle. Harvest season for the sugar cane crop is only a few weeks away, but Irma knocked much of the cane down, making it more difficult to harvest. We wont know the exact extent of the loss until its harvested, McAvoy says.

Fortunately for the vegetable farms, most had yet to be planted, so the destruction was minimal.  But that wont help the destroyed citrus produce. For exampl...

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- At least one city leader is questioning the Red Cross's choice of hotels while coming to Houston to help with Harvey relief.

City Councilman Dave Martin dubbed the charity the "Red Loss." He made the point last week at city hall, claiming he hadn't seen the charity in his district.

Five days later, they still haven't shown up in Kingwood, Martin claims.

Prepping For A Nuclear War: 10 Foods To Grow To Help Reduce Radiation Effects "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

With the threat from North Korea of a potential and possibly imminent nuclear war on the horizon, many preppers have taken to gathering items which protect them from the effects of radiation.  Food can do that as well, and here are ten things you can grow to reduce that damages done by radiation.

Its terrifying to think about, but there may come a day when the United States will be struck by one or more nuclear weapons.  Because of this, Natural News compiled a list of the ten best foods to grow in case this horrific scenario becomes a macabre reality.

  1. Potatoes

In the event of a nuclear attack, one of the first organs that will be affected by the nuclear fallout and radiation is the thyroid gland. The reason the thyroid is affected first is primarily because radioactive iodine is absorbed by the gland extremely quickly. Unbeknownst to most people, though, potato skins contain high amounts of iodine, which can be used by the body to shield the cells from radioactive material, like nuclear fallout. Potatoes are also one of the easiest and heartiest crops to grow, making them a no-brainer for anyone who is serious about prepping for a nuclear attack.

  2. Strawberries

Like potatoes, strawberries are extremely easy to grow. All you really need is some soil, some water and a spot on the windowsill, and in no time at all, you will be able to enjoy a plethora of fresh, juicy berries. Strawberries also contain several important nutrients and are a good source of iodine. Its also been thought that eating strawberries can help prevent breast cancer.

  3. Cranberries

Someone dies of a stroke every 4 minutes in the United States. Globally, 15 million people suffer a stroke every year. Its debilitating physically and financiallybut one little-known company has developed a medical device that hopes to challenge that deadly statistic.

Its been quietly developing this new technology for 10 years. Now its released updated preliminary clinical trial results, and signed a manufacturing deal which could make a significant impact in the medical device industry.

After a decade of painstaking development, were now nearing the end of the long road to validation, and for investors who understand this industry, this could be the critical juncture.

The little-known company is CVR Medical (TSX:CVM.V; OTC:CRRVF), and its potentially life-saving device is the Carotid Stenotic Scan (CSS)a technology designed to detect stenosis within arteries, or Ischemia, which is the leading indicator of strokes.

Of the 15 million people who suffer stroke every year, some 6 million are killed, while 5 million are rendered permanently disabled, according to the World Heart Foundation.

But there has been no cost-effective way to screen for Ischemia.

So, when a biotech company offers a potential solution to help prevent the second-leading cause of death in the worldand then releases positive preliminary clinical trial results, investors listen.

Now its hoping to charge out of the gate and take the market by storm once it manages to gain FDA market clearance.

The Death Of Free Speech Is Imminent: Government Begins Censorship Of Media Through Disingenuous Means "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

The death of free speech is imminent.  Anyone with access to a computer and the internet can see that the United States mainstream media is nothing more than a propaganda machine designed to brainwash the masses into a lemming-like agreement with the government.

And now, its oh-so-ironic that the same government that tells the media what to report on in order brainwash the public is seeking to quiet those who disagree and label them as propaganda.  Some may call it fake news, others just want a different opinion rather than the left-leaning media hysteria we are accustomed to.  But now, media outlet RT (Russia Today), founded in Russia will have to register with the United States as foreign media; which will forever give it the inaccurate title of propaganda.

The war the US establishment wages with our journalists is dedicated to all the starry-eyed idealists who still believe in freedom of speech. Those who invented it, have buried it, Margarita Simonyan, RTs editor-in-chief, said about the registration.

Media organizations have been exempted from the law, which is wide-ranging in its disclosure requirements and generally applies to political consultants and those working in lobbying or public relations. It would be a felony if RT is found to have willfully failed to register a...

Conspiracy Fact? Hurricane Harvey Survivors Taken To Wal-Mart FEMA Camps "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Weve all heard the saying, its only a conspiracy theory until its proven a fact.  And some in Texas think that survivors of Hurricane Harvey are being taken to Wal-Mart stores and held until they can be relocated to a more permanent location, aka, a FEMA camps.

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is at the heart of many conspiracy theories, and one only needs to do a simple Google search to discover the fact in that statement. YouTube user Taj Longino posted a short video claiming that people are being rounded up for relocation to FEMA camps.

That was not the only video either, by far, of what some are continuing to allege as FEMA camp transportation. YouTuber 2LiterJay 21 has a more in depth video complete with his theories as to what is happening in Texas in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

Some of the videos and commenters on these videos are even accusing those who work for FEMA of stealing phones and computers so that communication with the outside is all but impossible. And unfortunately, because situations were so dire, most people were all too happy to do and go exactly where FEMA was demanding.

But FEMA put out their own statement, advising against listening to rumors about the agency.

To dispel some of the false rumors circulating on the internet and social media, FEMA created a dedicated website to address some of the most common themes. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Visit ...

Rise Of The Machines: U.S. Military to Have More ROBOT Soldiers Than Human by the Year 2025 "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

This report was originally published by Lance D Johnson at

Warfare is being reinvented. Like a scene out of The Terminator, the future of warfare is destined to include robot soldiers, unmanned aerial assault, and self-driving, weaponized vehicles. An $11 million contract approved by the Pentagon has been awarded to Six3 Advanced Systems. The US Department of Defense is calling on Six3 to design, develop, and validate system prototypes for a combined-arms squad. By the year 2025, experts predict that the U.S. military will have more robot soldiers than humans.

According to the U.S. Department of Defense directive, the new American fighting squad is meant to combine humans and unmanned assets, ubiquitous communications and information, and advanced capabilities in all domains to maximize squad performance in increasingly complex operational environments.

Unmanned, self-driving, weaponized vehicles

The military aims to test a new system prototype by mid 2019. The robotic fleet may include underwater drones and unmanned Army trucks that drive themselves. The Army already has plans to test the unmanned vehicles at the Blue Water Bridge in Michigan. This will be the first time the Army has ever unleashed self-driving vehicles onto public roads. The test will take place on Interstate 69 highway in Michigan.

The U.S. military is very likely to pursue forms of automation that reduce back-office costs over time, as well as remove soldiers from non-combat deployments where they might face risk from adversaries on fluid battlefields, such as in transportation, says Michael Horowitz, an expert on weaponized robots.

Just as in the civilian economy, automation will likely have a big impact on military organizations in logistics and manufacturing. The US military has already cut costs using technology; for instance, warships such as the USS Zumwalt are now operated by 50 percent fewer soldiers than previous crews.

The robot technology will accompany soldiers on dangerous mission...

Senator Warns Of Imminent Nuke Attack On SeattleBut A Law Forbids Them From Preparing "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

A United States senator has just warned that a nuclear attack by North Korea is imminent.  He wants Washinton state to prepare for the strike, but right now, a little law is getting in his way.

According to Senator Mark Miloscia, the danger to Washington state, which is the closest part of the contiguous US to North Korea, is starting to become imminent. Miloscia has warned that the threat of a nuclear attack is growing with each weapons test done by the North and their defiant leader, Kim Jong-Un.  He is urging lawmakers to back the bid for an emergency response plan when they meet tomorrow. But hell be fighting against a law that says the state of Washington cannot prepare for a nuclear war.

Its a throwback to the Cold War when it was feared that planning for a nuclear strike might suggest the US was preparing to launch one itself and expected a response.

Most people dont realize that sometimes, not only does the government not have a plan, they deliberately avoid making a plan for political reasons.

That may sound totally asinine, but its absolutely true. Especially in the state of Washington. With all the hype surrounding North Koreas missile tests, many states are reexamining their nuclear preparedness plans, except in Washington, where apparently its illegal for state authorities to even make those plans. Ready Nutrition

State law does not allow any advanced planning, said Karina Shagren with the Washington State Emergency Management Division. RCW 38.52.030, passed in 1983, says The comprehensive, all-hazard emergency plan authorized under this subsection may not include preparation for emergency evacuation or relocation of residents in anticipa...

  • On one piece of tape, cut a rectangular hole in the center, one-third of the width of the tape and two inches long.
  • At the center of the other piece of tape, cut away one third of the width in a two-inch strip on each side, leaving a two inch strip in the center that is only one-third of the total width.
  • Thread the second piece of tape through the hole in the first, forming a x from the tape.
  • Fix the bottom leg of the x on each side to the skin adjacent to the wound.

Testing Reveals Floodwater In Houston Homes Contain Toxins "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Photo: Flooding in Rockport, Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey

Residents in Houston need to take precautions, as testing of the flood waters left by Hurricane Harvey came back showing bacteria and toxic matter abundant in the homes devastated by the storm.

It is not clear how far the toxic waters have spread but Fire Chief Samuel Pea of Houston said over the weekend that there had been breaches at numerous waste treatment plants. The Environmental Protection Agency said on Monday that 40 of 1,219 such plants in the area were not working. According to the New York Times, the results of testing have been worrisome.

Water flowing down Briarhills Parkway in the Houston Energy Corridor contained Escherichia coli, a measure of fecal contamination, at a level more than four times that considered safe. In the Clayton Homes public housing development downtown, along the Buffalo Bayou, scientists found what they considered astonishingly high levels of E. coli in standing water in one familys living room levels 135 times those considered safe as well as elevated levels of lead, arsenic and other heavy metals in sediment from the floodwaters in the kitchen.- The New York Times

Theres pretty clearly sewage contamination, and its more concentrated inside the home than outside the home, said Lauren Stadler, an assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering at Rice University who participated in The Timess research. It suggests to me that conditions inside the home are more ideal for bacteria to grow and concentrate. Its warmer and the water has stagnated for days and days. I know some kids were playing in the floodwater outside those places. Thats concerning to me.

Swedish Police Cannot Cope With Huge Numbers of Rapes Since Migrants Arrived "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

This report was originally published by Paul Joseph Watson at

A journalist investigating the rape of a 12-year-old girl in Sweden was told that police have not even interviewed the prime suspect two months later because authorities cannot cope with the sheer volume of cases since Sweden opened its borders to mass immigration two years ago.

Back in July, the 12-year-old girl was dragged into a restroom by an older man in the center of Stenungsund before being beaten, raped and threatened with death.

Knowing the identity of the culprit, the girls mother immediately reported him to police, but authorities have yet to even interrogate the suspect two months later despite knowing his name and address.

According to journalist Joakim Lamotte, the girl is still being confronted and taunted by the rapist on the streets of Stenungsund.

When Lamotte contacted authorities, he was told that the case hasnt been acted on because police cannot cope with the workload of having so many rape cases to investigate.

Do you know how many rapes we have? Lamotte was told by the police officer in a conversation he recorded and uploaded to YouTube.

No, I dont. But Ive talked to the mother and her daughter feels very bad because of this, and I know who this man is, I have his name, address, social security number and everything, and, I mean, you havent even interrogated him yet, isnt that remarkable? asked Lamotte.

Well, you might think so, but we have so many similar issues and so few people available we cannot cope with the workload, responded the police officer.

That sounds unbelievable. A 12-year-old girl who is raped, its just a child, said Lamotte.

Two People In Canada Have Died From West Nile Virus "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Two Windsor-Essex people in Canada are dead after succumbing to the West Nile Virus. As more and more cases pop up in the United States, health officials are warning to not take this disease lightly.

In Utah state alone, the number of West Nile cases is 22, said Dallin Peterson, an epidemiologist who oversees all animal- and vector-borne diseases for the Utah Department of Health, including one fatal case in Salt Lake County. The county has confirmed that the virus was found in mosquitoes across the state and that lead to a death. Hillcrest High School football coach Cazzie Brown, who unexpectedly died late last month, is said by family to have become ill by contracting West Nile virus.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, about one in 150 who contract the virus will be subjected to serious symptoms that could prove fatal. Fortunately, most people infected with the West Nile virus do not have symptoms. About 1 in 5 people who are infected develop a fever and other mild symptoms. Canadian health officials said in a statement released Monday, (West Nile virus) continues to be a risk until the area experiences temperatures below freezing.

To prevent WNV, simply prevent mosquito bites, say the health officials. The late summer is the most important time to take precautions as thats when mosquitoes switch from feeding on birds to searching for other food sources, like humans. Wear clothing which covers the skin and use insect repellent to keep those mosquitoes at bay. This should serve as a reminder to all residents to take steps to prevent mosquitoes and West Nile virus. The importance of using insect repellent with DEET can not be overstated, county health department spokeswoman Aislynn Tolman-Hill of Utah said in a st...

One Familys Experience with Hurricane Irma "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

We lost power about 10:30 p.m. Sunday evening as Hurricane Irma approached; no big deal, we went to bed. I was so exhausted I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I was jarred awake at 1:45 a.m. Monday by my husband shaking mehe said, I think theres a tornado nearby.

I grabbed my glasses and my Glock and headed to our makeshift safe room (our laundry room which is the innermost room in our home). We heard roaring winds but didnt know what was going on. Then at 2:02 a.m. all got quite. We looked at each other. The glance was all that was needed; we were in the eye...

Why Good Hygiene and Sanitation Keeps You Safer After an Emergency "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

ReadyNutrition Guys and Gals, the Grand Funk were going to be speaking about today is not that of the Grand Funk Railroad, the Band.  Rather it is the funk of sweat, dirt, and grime that all of us experience firsthand throughout our existence.  I am relating it to the bush, or the outdoors/forest/jungle when you are out and about in a survival situation.  There are a few pointers here that would be good to observe, especially considering the world situation and how close we are to a war with China or North Korea.

Hygiene in the field.  So, what?  So, it may be the difference between life and death.  Everyone will recognize and concede the point that hygiene helps protect you from germs and diseases, as well as preventing the body from falling apart.  This is common sense.  But there are other reasons to keep clean that might not be clear.

When you sweat, your body uses apocrine and eccrine glands.  The eccrine secrete primarily water and salt.  The apocrine glands, on the other hand, are mostly found in the hairy areas of the bodyand these throw out (in addition to water and salt), oily secretions that have pheromones in them.  The secretions from the apocrine glands tend to be eaten and metabolized by bacterial flora on the skinand produce a hideous odor.

Im here to tell youyou can smell a stinky man a long way offseveral hundred feet when the wind is right.  Be advised: in an SHTF/collapse scenario, whether its foreign troops or neighborhood maraudersif you can smell them, they can smell you.  It is very important to clean the heaviest apocrine gland-laden areas of your bodyyour groin, armpits, buttocks.  You should wash them (a sponge bath at the minimum) at least once a day, especially after much work or physical exertion.

Deodorant is finebut not an antiperspirant.  The antiperspirants have Aluminum and Magnesium in them to keep you from perspiring.  This is not good.  You need to perspire, as the sweat removes toxins from your body, as well as cooling you off (thermoregulation).  For this reason, a mild deodorant will work well, one with some alcohol in it to help kill the germs that feed upon your sweat.  For soaps, use a clean, non-fragranced soap in the field.  I always used Ivory when I was in the service.  It is effective and doesnt stick out with a fragrance.

That last part can be detrimental, especially for you guys and gals that like to use cologne or p...

WARNING: Resistant Head Lice On The Rise, Docs Urge Prescriptions Meds "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

Head lice: a giant pain in the backsides of parents taking their children into public and an annoyingly itchy irritating parasite that must be eliminated. But the new super lice could present a problem with treatments and has become much more daunting over the past years. Yet, theres a solution

According to Today the effectiveness of over the counter preparations had declined to 25 percent, a level described as being no better than placebo. Even with nit combing, the process of removing some of the younger and recently hatched lice from the hair follicle, according to a  review article published in Pediatric Dermatology late last year found that the tedious process is as effective as a placebo. Worse, even higher doses of the over the counter product arent any more effective, researchers said.

But a prescription doesnt necessarily equate to efficacy, and there is something that can help.  Doctors are now saying that the treatments are not effective because they arent done properly and with dedication.  They are done with lazy impatience making prescription medications the only avenue for frustrated parents.

Dr. Kenneth Polin became aware of the growing problem of head lice resistance more than two decades ago (20 years) when his 5-year-old daughter came home with lice. We used the over-the-counter stuff and it didnt work, said Polin, a pediatrician at Lurie Childrens Hospital of Chicago. When we called the company, they blamed us, saying that the patient just didnt know how to use the product. But it does appear that working thoroughly to rid your child of lice without prescription interference will work in a very vast majority of c...

Strange Earthquake Lights Accompanied Mexicos 8.2 Quake "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

The massive 8.2-magnitude earthquake that rocked Mexico earlier this week was enough of a phenomenon on its own, but the quake also had something of a fascinating side effect.

The mysterious lights in the sky following the massive earthquake were a shock to those in the area. Numerous videos have been cropping up on social media showing the flashes brighten the night sky above Mexico City, but the flashes arent lightning coming from the clouds above, or even lights from planes.

The mysterious lights didnt immediately have an explanation.  But now, the flashes of light are instead thought to have been caused by the 8.2 magnitude earthquake itself. More specifically, the lights come from a particular type of rock.  A study published in 2014 revealed that these lights can come in many forms, such as bluish flames, orbs of light, or quick flashes that resemble lightning.

In certain types of rocks this accumulation of stress can break up pairs of negatively charged oxygen atoms in the ground, allowing them to flow up to the surface as an electrical current through cracks in the rock, said Leila Ertolahti, an adjunct professor of geology at Farleigh Dickinson University, to Gizmodo. If enough atoms are present they can ionize pockets of air and form a plasma, or charged gas, that emits light.

As amazing as the appearance of the...

Over 250 Earthquakes In Idaho In 9 Days Leads To More Super Volcano Fears "IndyWatch Feed Survival"

An earthquake swarm in south eastern Idaho is rattling windows across parts of the state and Wyoming and Utah.  There have now been over 260 earthquakes since September 2, in the Soda Springs area and many have been over a magnitude of four or even higher on the scale.

The earthquake swarm in Southeast Idaho looked like it might be ending or at least slowing down on Thursday and Friday. But then Saturday arrived and by the days end, 19 quakes had struck. There have been 34 more temblors so far Sunday, bringing the earthquake total since the swarm began on Sept. 2 to 204 quakes. All of the quakes have occurred in the Caribou County area east, southeast and northeast of Soda Springs.

While many believe California and the West Coast are ripe for a huge earthquake, the heartland is often forgotten and these earthquakes are being swept under the rug and largely unimportant to the public at large.

While all eyes are on Californias San Andreas Fault because of the density of the human population there, many havent noticed Idahos swarm and the area which is highly active right now. Earthquake experts claim that the swarm in Idaho could end in a worst case scenario: a 7-magnitude quake that would reduce some buildings and homes to rubble and kill dozens or more but the chances of that are incredibly small.

Dr. David Pearson, an Idaho State University geologist who studies earthquakes, said scientists who have researched some of the faults in Southeast Idaho have concluded that the 7.0 quake is possible at some point in the regions future, but the current earthquake swarm is not necessarily an indication tha...
